1. Scope and operator

These Terms of Use govern the use of the website www.or-zarua.at, operated by Olami- "Verein zur Förderung von Bibelwissenschaften" (operating under the name Beit-Midrash "Or Zarua" — OLAMI), Hollandstraße 14/47-52, 1020 Vienna, register number (ZVR) 767033758 ("the association", "we"). By using the website you agree to these terms. Participation in programmes is additionally governed by the applicable programme rules and the Community Guidelines (house rules); scholarships are governed by the Scholarship Rules (Stipendienordnung).

2. Purpose of the website and content

The website provides information about the association's activities, educational offerings and events, and offers the possibility to support the association through donations. Content is prepared with care but does not constitute legal, tax or religiously binding advice. Details of events, times and programmes may change.

3. Registration for programmes

Registration for programmes takes place via the forms linked on the website. Registration does not create an entitlement to participate; admission is decided by the association at its sole discretion and subject to available places. The association may terminate participation in the event of breaches of the Community Guidelines. Participation in programmes does not constitute membership of the association; admission to membership is decided by the board (Vorstand) in accordance with the statutes.

4. Scholarships

Where the association awards scholarships, the Scholarship Rules (Stipendienordnung) apply exclusively. There is no legal entitlement to the grant or payment of a scholarship. The association may amend or discontinue the scholarship programme at any time; entitlements already accrued for completed accounting periods remain unaffected.

5. Donations

Donations are voluntary and, as a rule, non-refundable. In the event of erroneous payments (e.g. duplicate charge, incorrect amount), please contact us without delay at office@or-zarua.at. Unless expressly stated otherwise, donations to the association do not qualify for tax deduction (Spendenabsetzbarkeit) in Austria.

6. Copyright and intellectual property

All content on this website (texts, images, graphics, logos, videos) is protected by copyright and, unless indicated otherwise, belongs to the association or its licensors. Reproduction, distribution or public communication beyond the limits permitted by law requires the association's prior written consent.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the website unlawfully, in particular not to introduce malware, not to carry out automated bulk queries (scraping), and not to impair the functioning of the website.

We accept no responsibility for the content of external websites we link to; the terms and privacy notices of the respective providers apply.

9. Liability

The association is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for damage to life, body and health. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded, unless mandatory statutory provisions (in particular the Austrian Consumer Protection Act, KSchG) provide otherwise. No guarantee is given for the uninterrupted availability of the website.

12. Governing law, jurisdiction, final provisions

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The place of jurisdiction is Vienna, unless mandatory statutory provisions (in particular in favour of consumers) provide otherwise. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. In the event of discrepancies between language versions, the German version prevails.
